No Wavering, Billie Joe

Example for the group contest: Show some love to your fav member of Green Day, illustrating what you appreciate most about them.

I hope that this drawing doesn't need explanation... But I'll give some anyway...

I deeply respect Beej for many reasons, but these are the main points:
I LOVE Billie Joe's voice. It's harsh and melodic at the same time. It has a quality that reminds me of water (this I won't explain further, use your imagination. ).
'See the Light' holds a lot of meaning for me. In this case, the lyrics reference shows, not only my appreciation for this song, but Beej's devotion to music. He's devoted his life to something he loves and is unwavering in it. But he takes the path that lays naturally in front of him (again, like water). Beej writes amazing lyrics that are very real, personal, and heartfelt. Many of us relate to his music because of this. Also because of his realism, Green Day's music has a downtrodden bent. I see 'See the Light' as a cry to get away from that.
